New Puppy!

Last Friday, we drove the hour out to Pahrump, NV to the Nye Co Animal Shelter to adopt this little guy.. they said he is Shar Pei and Boxer, the other puppies that had already been adopted had much more of the shar-pei wrinkling. He has a bunch of it, but only when he sits a certain way. These pups were a turn-in by a backyard breeder, and they had allowed them to get FAT. Our little guy is 3 mos old and already 25 lbs, eats food like it is out of style and we have to feed our little chihuahua separately until he gets used to scheduled feeding or the fatty will push him away and INHALE his food too. Seriously, I don't think he knows how to chew..

We are trying to do the crate-training thing with him, but with a free-roaming chihuahua to sit in front of his crate and make him cry all night it has been pretty tough.

Cut him some slack, he's just hungry. Growing puppies need nutrition.
