And no, I don't want some book of 'literary merit' such as Mrs. Dalloway.

I'd prefer something that you think of frequently, that is fun to read, and something that has a deeper meaning greater than its superficial meaning. Any reccomendations?

I'm kind of a weirdo but I would say Starship Troopers fits this bill.
