1st in the tapco thread.
That second hand guard is beefy! I dont know if anyone could use that without a forward grip.
I'm sorry but that handguard looks really cheap. Sorry it's a no go for me. Anything new for AK's Tapco?

+1
Looks like a paving brick

I'm curious about their magazines. I typically hate crapco, but every once in a while, companies to come out with diamonds in the rough.
They do have a nice little short/stubby vertical foregrip for cheap, in a land of of more expensive tango down and larue grips.
Tag for LMT and DD vids..

Yep waiting on the DD and Troy updates
All of my ak related tapco products have worked 100%
Daniel Defense is now online... will be adding more tonight/tomorrow as we'll be spending the bulk of the day in the air today.
Good show, lots of fun, no game changers IMHO although a lot of cool things. Will share all that later in another post.
Tons more videos to add and I'll get them up as quickly as possible. (Troy, FN, Crimson Trace, POF, and more!)
Excellent job on the vids and info!!!
.
Can't wait for the Daniel Defense mid-length (DDM4V3)!
The production AR of my dreams...
Well, looks like Daniel Defense will be getting all of my gun money in 2010.

Here, here!
After the ACR cluster I am using the money I set aside for it on the new DDM4V3, ammo, and range fees / training!
i got a couple of those gen 2 tapco AR mags and their AR handguard on order.
I liked that video from DD. Very professional and well spoken. I'm thinking that non-FF carbine rail system will give YHM some serious competition at $150

Need to make it in mid length to really capture the market growth of mid length rifles.
After watching all of the posted videos, I have to hand it to TAPCO for best presentation.
Haven't seen much in the way of breakthroughs by any company, however. Certainly interesting products, but nothing that is creating a huge buzz.

I liked the Daniel Defense video; good stuff from them as usual.
good stuff from DD
Plus 1 on DD; I would like one of the DD m4 Middy and 6.8. Nice stuff.
did I see P-mags in 6.8?
Hey man!!! Where's the Troy & LMT vids at dood???
Troy and Ruger videos added, lots more still to come!
Hey I know that Troy guy!!
well done Joe!
Mark
Added LMT video.
Next set of videos will be added shortly.
LMT video was terrible, that clown who was beyond distracted couldnt take the time to go over the civilian 308?
Wow. I really like that Troy stock and mag.
can any of these reps speak without a plethora of verbal clutter? had to stop the LMT video halfway through it was so bad. Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh... come on guys.
Troy has some cool stuff coming out.

cut the guy some slack. He's a production manager who actually knows what the fuck is going on instead of some duded up PR puke that can read a teleprompter better than Obama. Guarantee you that guy could answer any questions you posed to him, maybe even eloquently, but when asked to just talk about shit with no specifics he gets a little uh, uh, uh. and as for the distraction, it is VERY easy to get distracted while doing something like this if there are people right behind the camera that wont stop what they are doing.
On the other hand , if you want to bag on the guy from Troy wearing his "TACTICOOL" fanny pack go right ahead.

My bad I assumed companies went to these shows to show new products and get the masses interested in what's new? If your company is going to be in a video that will be shown to everyone via the internet get a sales guy not a production manager. Look at the videos from Laure or Troy - both excellent videos demonstrating what's new and what rocks about it.
I think that may just be the problem for them at LMT there wasn't anything NEW.

yea 2010 shot show. look we all did what everyone else has been doing for the last 3 years.
"The new Troy Industries Claymore Muzzle Brake is a flamethrower. It is not designed to hide the muzzle flash at all."
Nice....!
I will be looking at their ambi charge handle.
What's the hive-think on the monolithic upper from LMT? Seems like a cool idea, but I have a hard time believing that a screw is nearly as effective as a barrel nut in holding the receiver and the barrel tight to each other.

+1000
What a disappointing shot show this year

. We've all known about the LMT .308, but he could have covered it and given us all a ballpark figure of it's civilian release. Instead he went over the 5.56 monolithic rail, which has been out for what 5 years? There was a lot of stammering, evey sentence was interrupted with a long pause, and every other word was "um..." Why did LMT have him be the spokesperson???? Doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

Great info on the new Troy Industries products! Thanks again!

thanks

Agreed. I like that it's a simple drop in lightweight rail system to replace the plastic handguards. If I can't find a rail piece for attaching a light to my MOE that makes me happy I may have to switch it out to this rail system on my SBR.

The forward screw slot is to control the rotation of the barrel. When you tighten down, the receiver clamps around the barrel, contacting it at all points. It is a strong design. Besides, the barrel extension lockup design of the AR doesn't stress the barrel nut area much anyway.
I'm sure when he reads this, there won't be anymore LMT videos to worry about
