Fuck. Can someone get some more pics of it?!

Now THAT's a gun I'd pay $3BIG for!

I'm sure it's only LE/MIL though huh?

At the 2006 show they had that little .223 rifle (MRX?) but with the collapsable stock - pretty cool.

Its awesome! I keep coming back to it even though the FN SCAR H is walking distance away...

According to the reps expect it late quarter 2010 with a tentative price of $2500.00

WOW Priced in the same price range as the ACR? I think i'd rather have the ARX. This is good news.

I think it looks clunky....I would love to handle one, though.

2500 MSRP for a fully loaded one, e.g. rails, folder, 1/7 twist and sights is not out of line, if BM had priced the ACR at 1800 basic and 2400 enhanced, they would have been golden. I may take a hard look the the Beretta and the CZ if they come to market. Jeff

I know Beretta is Italian. I wasn't referring to the rifle's country of origin.

ETA: The Italians would say, "Hey, whatsamadda you?! Why you no like-a da rifle? Eets a weapon not-a da Ferarri!"

I'm going to be giving this a hard look, unless something dramatic happens with the ACR, which is highly doubtful.

I played with the new beretta, It was the neatest thing at shot IMO. Mark Serbu's semi 50 being a close second. The display was a SBR (11" it looked like), and a little front heavy. Other than that it seemed much better than the ACR. Cool thing about it was if you lifted the bolt release, instead of pushing down to let the bolt go forward, it would drop the mag.I can't get over the ACR's reciprocating charging handle, which moves right next your hands and is obviously going to smack your thumb at some point.

The ACR's charging handle does not reciprocate. That is one thing Bushmington got right.

I held bushmasters, It was a reciprocating charging handle, moved the bolt and the handle moved with it...unless i was doing something wrong.

The ARX160 is something I have been watching very carefully now for about a year. According to at least one poster who claims to have been at SHOT Beretta has confirmed that they are looking to bring it to market for civilian sale and I have heard similar statements from others for a few months now.

I would look for information next SHOT Show in 2011. I do not think we will see it this year, but everything I have heard tells me it is more than a possibility for next year.

The ability to reverse ejection from left to right in a few seconds, quick change toolles barrel, and the manual of arms is definitely cool.

The ARX160 and CZ S805 are rifles I hope will give the ACR, SCAR, and XCR some competition for modular rifles. Hopefully driving down prices.

NICE Video

As a side note the ARX160 has seen combat in Afghanistan and is now battle proven.

I posted some comments in this thread...
http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=6&f=2&t=302914

In general I have a very positive (non shooting) impression of the platform.

Now that is a rifle that I can wait for! Fielded and tested by Italian Special Forces unlike the Shrubmasters ACR...

Really liking the over all design. Not liking the mp5 ish grip profile. Im sure they ll be about a thousand aftermarket thingies for it when it hit street but still.

i liked it 100X better then the acr. the fact that it takes no tools to change any of the parts is a big plus. the way that you can change it to right or left hand operation by just pulling the bolt back midway and pushing the handle to the other side and push a button to switch the side it ejects out of was pretty cool. it is a well thought out rifle if it comes out to the civilian market ill buy one if they are under 2k.

Nice, they do that and it will be VERY popular. It will be all over the place.

I'm really digging its specs and features. I'm also very pleased that it is combat proven. Looking forward to being able to purchase it.

Correct. I spoke with the Beretta folks and they confirmed that they are indeed going to see about US manufacture so they can sell a version to civilians and individual officers here.
