First SHOT show for me...

Will attendees be able to purchase items e.g. optics, uppers barrels...blah blah from manufacturers?

If so, how good have the deals been?

Thanks

No. The SHOT show is for members of the industry. Nothing can be bought or sold on the grounds.

It's all about introducing products, promotions and pricing information to wholesalers and retailers.

Some stuff is available for sale, esp on the last day of the show. I have gotten some deals in the past, but it is mostly accessories that you will see for sales.

I've been attending SHOT since 1980 and things have changed considerably from the 'old' days. Some will now sell they're wares on the last day and some won't.

It's still not (thank god) a gunshow.... I miss the 'old' days when it WAS industry only and there wasn't a ton of goobers clogging up the place.

I'll be going this year as a Vendor's Rep. Please don't tell my wife I can't buy, otherwise she'll think I'm spending it on Babes and Booze.

Yeah there's good deals. At the last one I went to Colt was offering a buy 25 rifles get one free deal.

That's what you meant right?

On the last day you can buy lots of the display stuff. Unfortunately it's very haphazard and you can't plan on getting anything. The vendors decide when they are ready to part with their wares and they are usually gone within minutes. If you are the one who gets it, great.

Badger Ord usually has some small parts for sale everyday. In the past they have had Tac Latches for $10.00 and Charging handles with tac latches installed for $25.00

Microtech will sell to LE & Military during the show.

Larue was selling stealth upper two years ago.

Several years ago I bought LaRue mounts the last day of the show.

We won't selling any products at our booth.

As is, we have just enough room for induvidual display items (boy, we've grown over the years).

Millet was selling a huge stock of scopes. It actually looked more a a gunshow exhibit than it did a shot show exhibit.

Yes, that is the whole purpose of the show. To sell stuff. Almost everything is for sale. In fact, more sales are done during SHOT than any other single week.

Perhaps what you meant was will you be able to walk out with whatever you purchased?

I still have the Dillo that was given to me last year. Whoever handed it to me said it would be on Ebay within a day (I have no idea why that comment was made), but I still have it.

The Dillo Dust and calendar were MUCH appreciated by my wife, BTW. Meeting you guys was one of the high points of the show.
