410 AR 15

Okay guys heard a company had one on display. Who were they, I really want one. Any info would help.

American Tactical.
had a full sized A2 in .410
mags the size of 30 round GI's would fit 15 .410 shells
I got a picture of the bolt etc etc
1: you cant just buy the upper
1a: because the mags are to big for standard lower mag wells
2: with this rifle, you could swap out the .410 upper for a 5.56, but the mags would wobble in the lower... but it is doable...
3: mucho $$$$

I'd much rather have one in 12 gauge. .410 is kinda outdated these days.

outdated? it's not the right tool for every job, but the .410 is an excellent lil shotshell
for certain purposes. Plus the ammo weighs mucho less than 12 gauge. Good for small game......

A .410 upper with a full auto lower seems like it could be a lot of fun, but that is just me.

Won't work with a full auto lower; but still should be a lot of fun. mucho$$$$? I didn't think the price was high at all.

That was a prototype... the bolt didnt even work.... they cranked it our 2 weeks prior to SHOT show...

I don't see why it wouldn't work with a DIAS/LL...

The 410 AR is made in Turkey by Safir Arms
They've been available in the UK for a couple of years but people who've tried both the T14 and the equivalent Saiga and Vepr AK smoothbores -I haven't - usually report a preference for the latter on reliability grounds.
I was interested when the show reports were describing the AR 410 as an upper, because it sounded like there was a new product or another manufacturer in the game, but then as more pics were posted it became clear from the literature on the table that the gun shown was a T14 after all.
