Going on a spending spree, what should I look at.
I am going with the owner of Anchor Armament to the SHOT Show and we plan on making our big purchases for the year.
It will be our first time and SHOT and I'm sure we will be a bit overwhelmed. We will only be there Sat and Sun.
What key items should we take a close look at? I am making a list of vendors and manufacturers to talk with and I know I am forgetting more than a few.
Thanks,
Ray
Well, it depends on just what it is your company does/sells. Every firearms/ammo/tactical gear/target/bits&pieces/clothing/optics, etc., etc., etc., manufacturer that you can probably think of will be there. If it's mostly black rifle stuff you're looking for, they usually have most of that type of stuff around the Law Enforcement section, but not everything. Some will be scattered throughout the building. Sat. and Sun. only will be a little limiting on what you'll get to see. Sunday, a lot of the exhibitors will start tearing things down after lunch. If you're making "big purchases for the year", that too will limit the amount of time you'll get to spend at more locations. I'm not sure what you're expecting. You're not going to walk out of there with shopping carts full of rifles, parts, magazines, ammo, etc. It's like the Detroit auto show; look, touch, smell, salivate. See what's available, then sign on the dotted line as a dealer for a product line. In some cases, they'll go ahead and take orders.
We keep a very select inventory. You can see it here:

We are going to meet face to face with the manufacturers and distributors we currently deal with and will be looking for new products to add. There are some good mag choices coming out this year and we will be looking for another high end billet lower to replace the SMOS lowers that Larue stole from us
Mags, lowers and select complete rifles. Just wondered if you guys had a heads up on a hot item for 2009.
For mags stop by the MSAR booth
Magpul MOE stocks, grips, forearms... and extra Pmag 20s 30s...
How about some 6.8 SPC goodness? LMT, RRA, Stag...
Magpul has some great stuff this year. The LR 20 for the .308 is nice. Also, Tango Down's mags were very nice.
We looked at the MSAR AR mag and between the customer service we've experienced and the mag, I don't think we will look at carrying these.
