Can I learn piano well enough to play Garth Brook's Shameless by March
March is our anniversary. Shameless is our song. We are currently renting a piano for my daughter. I've been thinking about learning to play some. I'm not a complete novice. I played violin when I was a kid, but I know next to nothing about the piano.
It would be extremely cool to play it for her on our anniversary. Am I kidding myself? I'm not too worried about singing it. I have a decent singing voice though of course I would need to practice that too.
Thanks for any input.
I don't know about learning to play but you could for sure learn the key strokes by then.
That's more than enough time to teach your self to play one song. I've watched youtube videos and wrote down the notes and learned a few songs.
I wish I took piano lessons as a kid. I'm thinking about teaching myself some basics using some books or something. If I can at least learn chords I should be able to use lead sheets.
