My son has shown some interest in a friends piano when we were staying there over the summer, was thinking of getting him something like a casiotone (showing my age here) but a quick look online doesn't seem to turn up much.

Anyone have any recommendations? What replaced the Casiotone?

Want to keep it fairly cheap as obviously can't guarantee it's not a fad (<$50 if at all possible).

Used would be fine, I have no idea where to start as I don't have any musical ability at all- no inclination to learn either.

If you are not in a hurry and are not afraid to keep checking back I found this one at Target for $25...

They always overbuy this stuff for Christmas and end up with big time clearance after the holidays. Like I said you can't be in a hurry and you have to go back a few times after the holidays to check then the price has gone down but it is worth it. I bought this for my 5-year-old daughter and she loves it and while at $99 it might have been a bit much for her at $25 it was perfect.

Craigslist.org. There's a bunch of them in the south Florida area, all under $50.
