I don't understand the whole growling softly lyrics but I can't stop listening to songs like Peace Sells, Sweating Bullets, and Angry Again.

Listening to "Wake Up Dead" right now! I don't listen to anything they put out after Mustaine's sobriety. Pretty much after Rust In Peace, I was done with them.

Saw them live in like '98 or '99. Met them in the parking lot of a Taco Bell after the show. I guess they were hungry. Mustaine really is a prick, like everyone says he is. The other guys were super cool.

If you only like the older stuff you should do yourself a favor and check out the latest one, Endgame. The album really shreds like the good old days.

I bought that one right when it came out (after I heard Headcrusher). I just never listened to the older stuff all that much.

Yeah it does, some really good riffs in there. Crytic Writings through The System Has Failed is kind of the four album "meh" period for me. Most people throw Youthanasia in there too but I actually like that album a lot.

was it cryptic writings that had the song trust on it??? don't remember, but it was that song, symphony of destruction and sweating bullets that got me listening to them

Well, I'm kinda glad that Dave does the softly growling thing. It's because of it that his voice hasn't gone to shit.

Dave's vocal style is based off King Diamond.

Just saw Megadeth at Mayhem Fest.

They opened up with Trust and continued to kick ass the whole time.

If you get the chance go see them. I don't think they'll be around too much longer.

I recently saw them preform the Rust In Peace alblum too - awesome.

I've always thought the guitar work and overall sound of Megadeth was crisp and...precise. But the only album I own from them is Countdown to Extinction. I need to expand my library.

That's a good album. Rust in Peace should be your next purchase IMO, then Peace Sells, then...believe it or not Endgame IMO. It's very good.

Those are the exact albums I have, and yes, they are all very good. I'm considering getting United Abominations next. I got Endgame a month ago, and was VERY pleased with it.

Megadeth has always been one of my favorite bands. I got into them around the So Far, So Good, So What? timeframe and have been a fan ever since.

I saw them last night, and even though they only played a really short set it was still fucking awesome.

I can't wait for TH1RT3EN to come out.

Yeah, but at least he leans right on most issues (these days, anyway).
