Hey guys I just saw on another forum where a guy had received some of these RyJ's and they were moldy. A few other guys also had the same issue with them. Spots of fuzzy white on them. I have a couple in my fridgerador so I checked them. One was perfectly fine the other moldy. It wiped right off, but worries me. These are in tubos so my other smokes shouldn't be in danger, but I pulled it from the cooler anyhow. I contacted cigar.com to try to get a replacement, but what say you guys on this? Some say wipe it off and smoke it, but I don't know how good an idea that is. Is it caused from being in the tubo and store with too much humidity? Here is that guys pic. I didn't take a pic of mine as I didn't think of it before wiping the cigar off.

Wipe it off. The ones I have are moldy too. The last Anejo I smoked was moldy.
What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger! Duh!

Wipe, light and enjoy!
If that fails, I call dibs

Well ok then. Wiped it off and put it back in the cooler. I would imagine it shouldn't develop any further mold at 65/65. Cigar.com said the same and they are going to send me a new stick with my next order as well.
As long as they are white mold and not at the foot, you should be fine. It is the blue-green mold that can seriously damage your health or kill you.
A shot glass of rum in hour humidor will also help control and kill molds, although PG solution will also help, rum seems to be a more eligant solution.

It was white and my only stick with it. Its back in to tubo and in my fridge. I doubt it will come back as its too cold and dry in there to get mold I would think.

Yes, and the fridge will dry up your cigar too, unless you have a fridgidoor, basically a converted wine cooler with a humidifier.
Yes I have a fridgerador.

I normally keep my cigars out of the tubes, they do not seal, but tend to maintain a higher humidity since they don't "breath".
They are non-ISOM, so it comes in the cellophane tubes, which are good enough for storage.
Most of the "molded" cigars I saw are almostly exclusively in aluminum or glass tubes, and there are times, I saw condensation inside glass tubes because of the trap moisture.
The other molded cigars were in cedar wraps, which I also remove for storage and aging.
I saw you are in florida, one of my favorate state, chances are, the reason you get the molds in the first place are the tubes and the cedar wraps, especially in high humidity area.
I used to travel alot to Florida, 1/2 and 1/2, between Fort Walton Beach (Egln AFB) and Orlando (LM M&FC). Not so much recently.
I only have a few in tubes. I think ill take them out. I'm gonna leave that one in the tube, though so it doesn't spread any mold to my other sticks. Hell I may just smoke the thing tonight to dispove of it properly.
