How about doing an episode that centers around a buckskinner rendezvous and traditional muzzle loading firearms?

That sounds like the Primitive side at Friendship, Indiana and the NMLRA. We do enjoy those visits.

That would make for some very good television.

I was also thinking about doing my own film project, sort of a buckskinner version of "Man -vs- Wild" or "Survivorman",

Ah, Yes

Man, Muzzle loader vs. Grizzley.

Good luck.

It was done a few years ago, Blackpowder Magazine had an article titled THE CHARGE OF THE GRIZZLY AND FOUR ACES. The author bagged a grizzly bear in Alaska with a .54 caliber flintlock rifle. I wish they had a film crew!

Me, I am thinking about a wilderness trek in the north Cascades.

So, for that trek, do you go "looking for bear", or just "ready for bear"?

(Treking or Hunting?)

Just "ready for bear", though I am not too worried about bears as keeping a clean campsite will do much to avoid problems with bears.

Still, I should plan on a future hunting series after doing the trek project.
