ATT Blocking Messages with the word GUN
E-mail to ATT addresses is blocked if the word "gun" or "shooting" appears in the sending address and copy.
I posted my suspicions some time back. Now I've got 'em cold! They're doing it.
Here's the message I just sent to about 150 people with ATT e-mail addresses who are on our sign up e-mail list. Note the update that one of my yahoo accounts was also blocked for abuse, until I opened another account without the word "gun" in it.
Message from Jim Scoutten:
I’m using my free Yahoo account to let you know that ATT is blocking all e-mail messages from me, sent from our ShootingUSA.com e-mail account server. So if you’ve been wondering why you haven’t been receiving my weekly e-mail messages, it’s not because I haven’t been sending them. ATT won’t let them go through to you.
The bounce-back messages say we’ve been “blocked for abuse”. Since we only send our weekly messages to people who have asked to receive them, that wouldn’t be spam abuse. So I assume the ATT filter is blocking on the basis of the address or our message content that includes the words “shooting” and “guns”.
Here's an update: I first tried to send this message through yahoo using my e-mail account tvguns@yahoo.com and your ATT mail server bounced that back as "abuse". So I opened another free account jim.scoutten@yahoo.com and this message got through the filter. So we now know for sure ATT is blocking the word "gun".
There doesn’t seem to be anything we can do about ATT’s decision to block Shooting USA e-mail. The best I can suggest, if you want to receive e-mail from me, is to sign up for a free e-mail account at Yahoo.com or G-Mail.com or Hotmail.com. And then register again at our website to receive messages using that new address. We have no problems with those mail services.
Notice I’m not suggesting a free AOL account. We do have problems with AOL and their executives are definitely anti-gun, contributing money to the Brady Organization, among others.
I have no idea what other e-mail you may not be receiving, other than what we’re trying to send to you, but you should know ATT isn’t letting all your mail get through.
If you have a comment, use this jim.scoutten@yahoo.com address until you get a new personal address set up for yourself.
Good luck,
Jim Scoutten

Very interesting.
Commie Bastards!

Anyone who is not getting emails because it was blocked for content should demand refunds for denile of service.
Tell your ISP you expect to get everything you pay for.
I can also recommend

for a free email account. I've been using it for a while now and don't have any problem getting firearm and gun related things through it.

I recommended g-mail in the message to the att screwed fans.
