I don't get there often. Seems those national gun matches too often take up a weekend when I'd like to be in the woods. So over the past few years I've been hunting whitetail with sport utilities. I've hit two in the past five years.

We have taken turns in the tree stands with that 7mm Mag Remington 700 we rebuilt about a year ago. So far the deer are ahead in the game.
For birds, I've got my Franchi O/U Sport. (New name is Renaiassance) It's one of those lucky accidents that can happen... it fits me perfectly as it came out of the shipping case. Perfect cheek-weld to bead allignment. So it's actually possible for me to hit targets and birds with that one.

Tom Knapp and I were talking yesterday about getting together for a pheasant hunt in South Dakota for his Benelli Bird Hunting show. (I can't hunt Turkey, cause I can't sit still enough to call in a bird.)
So there's a couple of anwers.
White tail hunting with a Dodge and a Chevy.
Bird hunting with a Franchi.
BTW: Does anybody know where the Tennessee ducks are this year? Somebody must have made them a better offer, cause they aren't here.
