Copy of an e-mail from Dennis:

Jim
If you remember yesterdays E Mail Thursday Nov 2nd I wrote you stating I was upset Charter cable would not include you in their basic lineup (The Outdoor Channel) and wanted an additional $30 per month to get your show and 5 other shows I care less about.
Well after countless hours of contacting people at Charter Cable I went to the top (Central Headquarters) and explained I was not really happy as the shooting show was my favorite show. They said they would file a complaint and call me back.
To their credit I got a call at 10 PM EST and after 30 minutes of dispute and threatening to go to Satellite the dispute ended and they gave me a free decoder and a years free service to your show.
Within 24 hours I am watching the Outdoor Channel free of charge for a year.
As they say "If you don't complain and are not persistent nothing will happen."
I was persistent and look forward to your shows again on a cable company that vowed they would not give it to me unless I paid $30 a month just 10 hours earlier that day.
Keep up the good work

I am glad it worked for him I have Time warner and they would not budge so the dish is being installed next sunday I will be saving about 15 bucks and getting more channels but did have to add the outdoor channel for 1.99 to be able to watch the show. But I love the out door shows anyway.

Dish Network includes The Outdoor Channel at the $49 a month package.

Direct TV doesn't voluntarily add it until $99. Both do offer the $1.99 "ala carte" option on any package of channels. But be aware, Dish hates Comcast that owns what was OLN (now Versus) so they promote The Outdoor Channel.

That might save you a couple more bucks.
