Just watched this weeks??(10/23/06 @ 11:30 pacific) episode about the Smith and Wesson IDPA match.
How you guys pack so much into a 30 minute show is fantastic

Jim, your show is the only reason i continue to fork over barrels of money to Comcast(com-crap). If there is anything we can do for your show beyond paying our cable/satellite bills and getting friends over to watch the show, you know where to come to!
Several Answers:
1) We've converted some of the air-time normally used for commercials into additional time for editorial coverage. Only the very largest advertisers have commercials in our shows, so we have more time for our story-telling.
2) We've got options for you on dealing with the Comcast monopoly. They're not so much the "take it or leave it" monopoly anymore and they're getting lots of competition in the next two years as we get closer to the end of through-the-air-analog TV. One viewer wrote that he kept his high-speed internet by cable, dropped the TV part from cable, installed Dish Network, and ended up saving about $20 a month. It's worth reading. Comcast is depending on you to NOT know your options.
Options For Receiving The Outdoor Channel3) You can be of help in letting people know where the shows are airing. This is my fourth network in 14 years. Each time we've moved the shows (escaping from the anti-gunners) it has taken up to a year for most of the audience to figure out where we went. One guy popped into my e-mail a few weeks ago to report he hadn't seen the shows in 4 years, since we left TNN. So letting people know can be a big help in shortening the time we need to re-gather our fans on the new network.
Spread the word anyway you can.

Thanks,
Jim
