PR180 online manual
hey guys, trying to wire up a occupany sensor for my safe for automated lighting, i come from the car audio world so me and AC wiring arent the best right now. if you look at the manual above it shows the diagram that came with the unit. what i have for my safe, is wiring coming into a single gang box with 2 outlets for my golden rods, and out from that box is a wiring that goes into the box that is the occupancy motion detector switch, and from that wires going back out of the box to an area where i have the LED wiring transformer. if i look at the wiring correctly, within the single gang box, i wire nut together the 3 grounds (one from the switch and 1 each from the wires), then i wire nut the two white wires (neutral correct ?),and the for the black wires, i wire the incoming hot black wire to the black wire on the box, and then the red wire on the box goes to the outgoing black/hot wire, that continues to the outlet for the LED transformer. am i right in the way i read that after watching youtube, or do i need to swap the hots and neutrals.
You are correct thats the way it goes. Should work just fine. Just remember to break off the little brass tab (on the black side) that ties the two outlets together or else your outlet wont be switched.
