 celebrities that support second amendment...

I have seen a few lists of celebrities and other persons of note that are advocates of gun control; but I'm wondering if anyone has compiled a list of celebrities and other persons of note who openly support the second amendment.

Pam anderson. I base this on a clip I saw with her and a full-auto MP5. She is in PETA though. Im not sure.

The fact that she's in Peta makes her worthless to our side.

I believe Rick Schroeder ("Lost Battalion," "NYPD Blue") should be on that list.

Remember that the Hollywood elite will sometimes punish pro-2nd actors/producers/directors by not giving them jobs if they come out in favor of the 2nd. These sycophants would immediately change their tune if, say, Spielberg or some other high-rent personality came out in favor of gun rights.

They have forgotten Sam Goldwyn's (the "G" in MGM) dictum: "If you want to send a message, try Western Union."

Quick true story about Hollywood: A friend of mine is helping his brother, who is directing a Motown anniversary special, in an editing bay. The bay is crowded with Motown execs. One of them, a woman, starts yelling about the images on the tape: 'No. No. That's all wrong. I told you that was wrong.'

Barry Gordy (founder of Motown) enters and says: 'That looks just great.'

Woman (without missing a beat): 'Yes. Keep it just like that.'

+1 on the Ricky Shroeder. Add Bo Derek, Gerald McRaney, Jameson Parker, Roger E. Mosely, ..... There are plenty, but the media only gives face time to the antis.

Most of the older Nashville crowd.

Hank Williams, Jr. bears specific mention (Bocephus has a gun collection that would make most museums blush ) and the Mandrell sisters were all active, very outspoken shooters.

I was watching the show "Shooting Gallery" on the Outdoor Channel last night, and they had a special episode on this very topic. It was a celebrity shoot-off with pistols and skeet.

Michael Bane, the host of the show, relayed a story from a friend of his who ran into Tom Seleck at an airport shortly after he was on the Rosie O'Donnel show. The end of the story was that for the arguement he put up, for the support of shooters and the 2nd, he didnt get one single phone call, letter or E-mail thanking him.

Hi, Raf,

I think it's safe to assume that the number of pro-gun people watching Rosie's show is pretty low.

Got any leads on the Bernie Mac thing? I've got a colleague at work who is an uber-leftie. She won't even think twice about anything if only whiteys seem to be for it (). But she loves her Bernie Mac. I'd love to pull that one out on her next time she goes on one of her lib tirades.

You sure about Mel Gibson ?
The whole Lethal Weapon movies being exceptionally anti-gun and such.
Just seemed to me he would have been an anti based on those...

I guess he didn't write the script though...

And that pic of Ann Coulter, as much as the country boy in me likes it, gives her redneck credentials with the dems. And it's a norinco pellet rifle.

Mel Gibson? Not!

http://www.muzzmag.com/freedom.html

In my 21 years as editor of MUZZLELOADER, I've written very few editorials. I've always figured that my views are pretty well understood on the basis of what kind of material appears in MUZZLELOADER. However since there is a debate occurring in our pages concerning Mel Gibson, the movie The Patriot, and gun control, and since we do have an article by Mark Baker about training Gibson in this issue (July/August 2000), I rekon it is time to explain my views.

We have received notice from a couple of subscribers that they will cancel their subscriptions if an article about Gibson appears in MUZZLELOADER. They have heard that Gibson is an anti-gunner, and they believe that we shouldn't support anti-gun proponents. I can understand their sentiments, but I don't know the basis for their claim. I checked the NRA's list of anti-gun celebrities on their web site, and Gibson is not listed. I have talked to Mark Baker and Frank House, who trained Gibson in using the rifle that Frank built for The Patriot, and neither detected any anti-gun bias on Gibson's part.

Then, late last week, a member of our staff saw an article on Gibson in a magazine on the newstand. I'll quote here from page 63 of the May 29, 2000, issue of US Weekly, ". . .Gibson, a staunch believer in the right to bear arms, has taught his own children how to use guns."

I apologize to Mel Gibson for publishing a letter that accused him of being anti-gun without checking the facts. We will be more cautious in the future when it comes to the letters that we publish. Readers, I urge you to take care when attributing beliefs or attaching labels to public figures.
