I went and saw this on Friday at the local Imax.
a lot of action from start to finish, big stunts, and plenty of humor
This episode is probably the best of the series so far.

If you like action movies, check it out

Not a dupe in here I'm afraid... what goes on in GD, stays in GD...

Yes, I enjoyed it as well. It was worth seeing in IMAX format. Lots of great action sequences, and I loved the 'costume change' outside of the Kremlin as Ethan Hunt was leaving. From Russian General Officer to American tourist in under ten seconds. Also, in my opinion Paula Patton has eclipsed Halle Berry in the looks department.

I never saw III. Do I need to watch it before this one?

Some of the writing was way too corny. But that is to be expected from an action flick like this. Overall pretty good.

I liked III better but this one was still enjoyable. Even gives a nod to Sig Sauer in the credits.

In my opinion this was the best one of the series by far.

There was more "realism" in applying a "Murphy's Law" approach to their operations. When someone jumps out of a car their suit is actually torn-up appropriately.

The story was timely as well and if you've followed the news the last year you'll appreciate it.

Worth the money for movie tickets. Definetly worth a rental. Perhaps worth a DVD buy.

Wasn't able to see it last week, but planning on seeing it this weekend.

Is III worth a look? I had actually forgot there was a III until this one came out.

Even the stodgy NPR movie review guy said it was good in IMAX

I enjoyed watching it but post-analysis, there were a few too many plot holes.

Shocking I know.

I liked it....it was just a good "check your mind at the door, enjoy some explosions and a few jokes" movie.

And yeah that costume change was pretty cool.

My favorite is the 1st and third one
This one is great too.

My least favorite is the second one only because the woman was not hot.

I thought the villain was especially awesome in that one. Remember his monologue about how he knew that Ethan Hunt would risk some daredevil aerial maneuver to enter the building, rather than risk harming a single hair on a security guard's head? He knew his enemy through and through.

ETA: Although, this was balanced out by the ludicrous shot of the dove flying through the flames as Hunt entered the bunker.

I prefer the bad guy's quote about women being like monkeys - not letting go of one branch until they've got a hold on the next.

I saw it over the holidays with my family. It was pretty good. We probably should have seen it on IMAX though.
