Before I drop a call to my CPA, does anyone know if you can write off your NRA membership considering I a certified NRA instructor? Just curious, because the line of business is certified by the same organization I am a member of. Can that be considered a professional association?

Thanks,

Business. LLC to be exact.

I got an invite to move my Lifetime Membership to Endowment Life Membership.

yup...

if your business is related to some function of the NRA it shouldn't be an issue, people deduct professional dues and subscriptions all the time... in fact that's what i'd classify it as :)

I work as a public accountant but lack the (C) in CPA.

Directly related. They certifies us to be trainers and a requirement for that certification is membership. I teach Boys Scouts with that certification and membership. The BSA has required all their firearms related merit badge councilors to be NRA certified.

Thank you for the feedback.
