Mobilized reservist and counting on PDMRA?

It aint what it used to be. Effective 1 OCT 11, PDMRA has changed from 1, 2, or 4 days accrual per month deployed beyond 12, 18, and 24-months, respectively to.... 2 days if you're in Iraq or Afghanistan. Any other CZTE area is now 1 day per month. I went to submit my R&R leave packet, using accumulated (or so I thought, based on the PPG when I mobilized) and was told "no, you can't do that any more." I figure I just lost 37 days of leave that I had planned to spend with my wife and daughters when I get home in August, before going back to work.

Just another way they'll nickle and dime guys in uniform.

yeah, the dipshits in office promised us we would be rewarded, now not so much. they wont stop giving cellphones out to fucking worthless pieces of shit but i get my pdmra days taken. thanks a lot. this is my 3rd fucking tour in 5 years! i stand to lose about 30 days. assholes, you dont get shit for being in the military anymore. just not worth it. im tired of defending that which scorns me.

Hang in there... if you're in AFG, you still get at least 2 days/month. And, you're grandfathered for the days earned up to 30 SEP.

It's easier to cut our benefits than some welfare queen's..

Yep, a ton of our guys had 18 months on the last deployment alone, not counting the one before that. They are taking thousands of dollars away from most everyone in our unit...

US Rep John Kline grilled DEFSEC Panetta last week... then introduced a bill to restore the PDMRA to units who MOBed prior to 1 OCT 11. I wrote to both of my Senators and US Rep..... if anyone wants the letter I wrote feel free to PM me and I will share.
