Can someone tell me what “VSO” means?
I’ve Google it and the only thing that comes up is Vault Security Officer or Voluntary Service Overseas or Veterans Service Organization and it can’t be that at all…
It's driving me crazy trying to figure it out.
In the Daytona Beach area, it stands for Volusis (county) Sheriffs Office.
How about letting us know where you are seeing it. Context helps.
Is it on a bottle of brandy?
If so, it is between 12 and 17 years old and is labeled "Very Special Old."
Other than that, more information needed.
On whiskey it mean Very Super Old.

Veterans Service Organizations or Veterans Service Office?
My son is just left Bagram and said he was going to VSO
There is a USO right across from the BAF PAX terminal. Perhaps that is what he meant.

Nope.. I asked him what it meant and he said OPSEC, I can't tell you...
Any other ideas?
Gotcha...
It's on google, looks like a fancy new term for an old concept.

Details about any particular VSO-ALP operation are OPSEC but the term it self and concept in general are published on the web with DOD approval.
One of the commonly cited potential game-changers in Afghanistan is the Village Stability Operations-Afghan Local Police (VSO-ALP) program: a village-level security concept that aims to empower local Afghans to self-police and ultimately protect against Taliban infiltration and influence, especially in rural communities.
VSO-APL
Perfect... thanks Monk.
