Question on contests in magazine
Guys –– I was wondering... If I live in one of the final places in the US were you cannot own a handgun (Chicago), but I win your mail-in contest, am I legally able to get the prize? I ask because for years I have (and continue to, until the NRA lawsuit wins at some point in the future) store all my firearms outside my county at my brother's home, and I also have an FFL dealer (ex-LEO) out there that handles all my transfers. If I can verify all this, does my actual place of residence cause any issues?
I wanted to see if I could get an answer on this just in case. Many thanks.
If you win and local laws keep you from possessing a firearm, you would still have to store at your brothers. As stated in the contest rules, the onus is on the winner to comply with all laws and regulations.
