I'm doing a little research, and I recall a pretty good article by P. Rogers devoted entirely to slings and carry straps. I can't seem to find it.

Can anyone give me the issue No. or date of publication for that issue?

Pete- sorry, i missed this. That article is kinda' outta' date now. Things are moving on, and i have switched almost all of my slings to Viking Tactics VTAC slings.

Here's another +1 for the VTAC. Of all prominent two-point slings, the padded VTAC is my favorite. I first tried Pat's in a class and have bought two since then. You will likely not be disappointed with one.

I prefer the padded sling, but then again, i spend a fair amount of my awake time carrying a carbine.
