Thanks again Pat for another great article, "Eye of the Beholder - Search for the Perfect Carbine". It should be required reading for this site, especially as I've seen shades of this topic come up constantly in the AR Discussons forum.
Pat's article can be summed up in the first line of his 4th paragraph to quote
