Event Details:
This 14th Annual Summer Biathlon returns as a mountain bike biathlon. A mountain bike biathlon race will be held on Saturday and Sunday. Everyone is welcome to participate. You do not have to have any biathlon experience. Safety class and loaner rifles with ammunition will be available for those without their own. Participants must have a mountain bike, rental bikes availabl from local shops. (Freeheel and Wheel 406-646-7744 and Yellowstone Bicycles 406-646-7815) Helmets are required. We will offer two divisions, Match Class (biathletes with their own rifles and experience) and Sport Class (novices). The race will be 12.5k of mountain bike riding with four shooting bouts, prone and standing. Prizes will be awarded.
*USBA membership required for insurance coverage. Click here for membership form and become a member for a day for $10. Forms will be provided at race day also.
Rental Bikes available at Gallatin Alpine Sports in Big Sky. Front or Full Suspension.

From South end of Iris Street head 0.3mile South on South Plateau Road to parking at gate. Walk 0.3 mile (follow signs) to Biathlon Range.
Additional parking at the Rendezvous Ski Trailhead (1.6km from Biathlon Range).
