I have a Sigma DG 50mm 2.8 macro. It is stuck on 2.8, and the auto focus does not work. I emailed Sigma and they said send it in for a free estimate, but I have a feeling there gonna quote me almost as much as it would cost to just by a new lens.
Anyone know of a place that could repair it for cheap online? As I don't have any camera store's where I live.
Thanks..

Send it into Sigma worst that can happen is they say its not worth fixing, but since its a prime lens it might be something simple.
Have you tried googling your problem and see if its a common problem with that glass?
I broke a Tamron 18-200mm days after I bought it, sent it in and they quoted me more than what I paid for the lens brand new, they sent it back to me and I shot it...
Yeah usually, broken lense are pretty expensive to fix because they must all be manually done. I would try a local repair service, they may give you a free estimate.
Thanks for the replies. I asked elsewhere, and the standard repair cost(or what a few people said) seems to be $140. And w/ the aperture, and autofocus problem is will probably run $200. Man, I should become a lens repair man
