Anyone still playing this awesome RTS? Some friends and I have been having LAN battles, and I have to say that it's quite fun.

The only problem with AoE2 is the depth of strategy consisted of egyptian carriage rushes.
How about The Cossacks? Any one play those games? I used to love them but they dont work on my new computer

orly?! I've never played RON but I loved AOE2.
I'd take AoE3 over Rise of Nations. I like it because you actually gain experience after games and advance your country the way you want to. i.e. you unlock achievements you use in the next game.
Either way, AoE games are very fun. When I was in Seattle we'd LAN battle AoE (the original) at work in a cube farm

Cossacks is my favorite RTS. I play Back to War.
A bit more in depth than AoE2, and leaves you with a lot more to manage tactically. I like games like the Total War series as well, but I think Cossacks is one of the best pure RTS games out there, still.

Same here.
A buddy and me would LAN this all the time. It's even fun single player. I actually have it loaded on this computer but haven't played it in about 2 years.
