Just reinstalled WoW. It's patching right now. Apparently, I hate myself.
(The wife still plays, she wants me to play with her again.)

WOW is evil... After I realized I wasn't having fun at the cap running main tank in the instances, I swapped to DPS... That still sucked...
So I started building chars from lvl 1 and enjoying the game... And I realized it started sucking about level 23 for every class/race.
I have been WOW free since 2009.

Game isn't fun unless you raid end game content with your friends. That's what that game is all about IMO. Leveling and doing dungeons suck ass and would get BORING really fast.

Game isn't fun unless you raid end game content with your friends. That's what that game is all about IMO. Leveling and doing dungeons suck ass and would get BORING really fast.
The point of raiding is identical to every other part of the game. Repeat X enough times until you can progress to Y. It's a skinner box and whether you're playing with 5 or 40 people doesn't change the fact. It's rare for a guild to go back to an old raid they've bested just for the fun of it in WoW. This is because there's no point to it. You have better items than what the raid has to offer.
When you have to do something with people you already get along with to have fun in something, it's not fun. You can do other things and still get enjoyment out of doing something with friends. You can also play MMO's where leveling is fun as well.

Not me, the only time I EVER play an MMO is to hurry the fuck up and level, and then raid with my buddies, and get to the hard stuff. It's like a sports game for people who don't want to do physical stuff but has to communicate and work like a team in order to down bosses. For the most part there is no "LoL I'll do what I want" in raiding. You have to have 10 guys who work together and communicate as a team to defeat bosses.
