Vietnam Games?

What the hell?
Why are there no -good- Vietnam video games being made? We've all killed a metric shit-ton of Nazis, Japanese, and middle eastern terrorists!
What do I have to do to kill some Charlie? Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam doesn't count as it is only multiplayer.
Am I wrong here? Am I the only one that wants to have this game type?

I think Battlefield Vietnam had a singleplayer you-vs-bots mode. Old game, though.

Yea... I played the shit out of that game for years.
Was hoping that maybe someone had a game in the works. But it appears that 'modern' style warfare is the -shit- right now.

Vietnam is no fun to make as a game.
Coding for all the jungle environments is shit, pure hateful shit.
That is why crytek is one of the few companies that does and can pull off a game set in a jungle.

EOD mod for Battlefield 2 and 1942. Don't know about the status of 1942 but the bf2 mod is somewhat lacking in playerbase but there are some good coop and singleplayer gameplay. And i think the project reality mod for battlefield 2 is coming out with a vietnam conversion sometime in the future.

a little off topic, but if you're into battlefield strategy, the Campaign Series (turn-based, platoon based strategy series) is about to release a new version of the game focused on Vietnam.

shell shock was kinda good. could find pistols,flags,posters,ect and trade it in for some longtime. ha but that about it.

There is an ArmA 2 mod being made that adds the Vietnam setting.

There is also an RO2 mod being made set in Vietnam called In Country. Though considering how RO2 was a flop I doubt it will see the light of day.
BFBC2 Vietnam is okay, I just bought it for $2.50. It does feel poorly done compared to BFBC2 itself though.

When I go home from college, I'm going to try the mod for Battlefield 2.
