Yes, just like the title says….

Does a brand new Dillon come with 2 different sized powder bars for the Dillon powder measure?

Attachment Attached File

There is the “fat bar” which is meant to be used for large charges….most likely for rifle cases.

And then there is the “skinny bar” with a spacer meant for much smaller charges….like pistol.

Thank you!

Yes, both a large and small bar…just like the large/small primer cups.

I’ll throw in the large/small primer pick-up tubes, as well.

1995 550b, bought new from Dillon.

I bought my RL-550B in 1986; it came with two powder bars.

If dryflash can't help, I can.

The only ones that don't get extra powder bars are I believe the square deal, because they are only pistol calibers. Then the 1050/1100. They come preset for the caliber you order them in. I believe that's what happened with my 1100's when I got them.

Just a few of my extras.

Are those extra halves of the bell crank assembly?

Those are the old style bell crank arms for the powder measure. They use the springs to return the bar.

Here's a video of a guy upgrading his to the new failsafe linkage.

It should come with 2.

Call Dillon.  They will make it right.

Absolutely nothing wrong with Dillon or the powder measures and bars that I have.

In my own little mind, I was making up my own conclusions/suppositions about Dillon engineering on an entirely different press.

SDB gets a large and small too. Big difference between 25 grH-110 44mag load and 2.7 gr Bullseye 38 special 148 hbwc..

I do believe they are both smaller than the 550/650/750/1100 bars though. Not sure and can't check as my 750 is out of state with most of my other shooting stuff
