I have several Augs, with and without suppressor gas plugs, so I understand how they work.

But, I simply can't move the plug on my brand new OEM 300BO barrel from Steyr.   Have I got a bad one, or have I become incompetent?    The ears will move back, but the plug simply won't move.

Thoughts?  Help?

use the butt pad pin to rotate it. when I got my suppressor gas plug it was impossible to rotate until I lubed the fucked out of it and used the pin to pull the ears back and rotate it around a bunch

I used needle nosed vice grips and lots of penetrating oil.  I got it to move.  It was filthy.  I'm guessing they must test fire the 300 barrels.  The spring doesn't push it back to "normal", but I'm hoping more time, and penetrating oil will get it loosened up.

Anyhow I've got it figured out.  haven't had this issue with 4 other guns/plugs.
