Its only missing 2 things in my view.
The inevitable mass die off as all the dum-dums are wiped out by their own stupidity and a view of what the world outside the Washington D.C. area looks like. Did Australia go permanently Mad Max? Did Europe descend into a churning hellscape of nationalists and migrants murdering each other for sport? Does mainland China institute fully automated gay luxury space communism because they saw what was happening and instituted an extremely cruel, gruesome, racist but completely necessary eugenics program that culled all their dum-dums and enhanced mass production of smart and wealthy people? I feel cheated of this kind of perspective in practically all post apocalyptic stories. Which usually only focus on one area. |
