If only prices went down that far nation wide and stayed there

I can remember four years ago when it jumped from 1.22 to 1.49.

I kind of wish I'd filled a 500 gallon propane tank with 1.22/gallon 87 octane E10 in April 2020.

What's the operating life expectancy of that much fuel?

If only. I filled up for $5.29 for 87 octane yesterday. On it's way to $6.00 shortly.

I remember 25 cent gasoline and that may have come with Green Stamps (S&H?) or a glass.

They asked if it was 1980.

It was that price 4 years ago

And that's why so many people vote for Ds. They can't remember what things actually cost just a short while ago, so the current crop of assholes must not be the ones fucking them over.

Same.

I remember when the 1979 Iranian Oil Embargo / Energy crisis hit and no one had designed mechanical gas pumps (which nearly all were back in 1979) for prices over $1.00 a gallon. "Inconceivable!"

so the stations reset prices to be in "liters" which confused and angered Americans use to "Freedom Units".

Last fourth of July sheetz put all their gas at $1.776/gal. It was an absolute cluster fuck, but I persevered and got both vehicles and all the gas cans topped up.

Paid $2.34 in Austin this morning, that's the cheapest I've seen in months.
