Dealer quoted me 1265.00 mounted balanced, roadside, blah blah for 4 BFG ko2s 265r75-16
Fo or no? |

I've been running KO2's for many years, but no more. I would try something else.....but not Cooper.

Who else sells them? Get more quotes before deciding.

They’re $258 per tire on Tire Rack, so that’s about right after install, etc.
|
|
|
I'd say it's pretty close to anywhere else.

ko2s suck. no fo

I bought all this equipment. What do you mean that the dead AREN'T coming back to life?
|
$1221 all inclusive (including tax) @ Discount tire.
$1102 including tax @ Tire Rack. Mounting/balancing/etc. cost additional. Dealers price looks OK. That being said ... in my location, I would go to Discount Tire instead of using my local dealership. Local dealership is hit or miss on quality of work. That plus DT will not try to up sale you air filter & wipers. |

WAR DAMN EAGLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Ford dealer quoted $1400 for a set of Firestone Destinations which can be had for almost 1/2 of that anywhere else!
Although, they are charging for lifetime alignment and rotation |

Sometimes 4WP has 10% off or a special of some sort on those tires. Get a quote from them if so, ask discount tire to beat the price.

I showed up and they mounted them in less than an hour. I left the tire store and went home. Holy hell were they loud. I kept them a week and went back to DT. I told them that I was not happy with them and started explaining why. They stopped me and said "You are not happy with them and that's all we need to know. " I chose a different brand of tire and they swapped them with no cost. Been happy ever since. |

I have 70k on these and they’re not even to the wear point. If I wanted to put up with a bunch of bs I could probably list them on Craigslist or marketplace and get 25 a tire. |

I think it is an ok deal. Painful, but ok.
I replaced the KO2s on my Nissan with Nokian's aggressive AT (Outpost) and shaved about 15 lbs of rotating mass from each corner of the truck and got me a 1-2 mpg improvement. Unfortunately the Load Range E KO2 is the only size for my truck, if I could get Load Range C the weight wouldn't be so bad. The Outposts are great on snow and ice. KO2s (esp aired down) have never let me down in snow, so-so on ice. Both have been great on and off road. Edit: I only replaced the KO2s because they were over 5 years old, still had lots of tread left. I will not run >5 year old tires on the highway, but if that truck lived on a farm/ranch or got trailered to the trail they would have stayed on. |

People buy shit because someone 1,000 miles away said they are great? A non winter tire I would use and what someone in GA would use has more in common than what someone in Utah would use. |

Wait for eBay to run their $100 off $400 tire sale and buy them in pairs since it's a 2x use coupon?

KO3 is where is appears to be at now if available in your size. I was quoted $1250 at Costco yesterday for them. The KO2 was $1350. The KO3 have better review for traction on wet roads.

Go with Falken instead and never look back. I’ve had both btw

Just got KO2’s on my Chevy Silverado CTB yesterday.
$1731 out the door (certificates for all, disposal fees, blah, blah, blah) 33 inch over all diameter on 18 inch rim. Edit: I asked for KO3’s, dude said he wasn’t able to get them yet. As far he knew, they’re available on the new Ranger Raptor & no where else currently. |

Probably the normal price. I paid $1k for the cheapest tires available for my Ram. Some Continentals. They turned out to be great tires but still, wtf happened to $150 tires??

If your rig has TPMS, make sure you change the sensors. That adds another $200+.

I got some Good year Wrangler duratracs 265/70R 16s for $1061 this week.
Bought at the Toyota dealership $226 each $904 plus $157 mounting, road hazard and lifetime balancing. Sapper buddy got me a deal, no clue if it was good or not. KO2s you describe is $257 each or $1028 a set. Plus $237 for mounting etc. Not enough money for me to care if I wanted the KO2s. My Wranglers are not the best but quiet, more quiet that I expected. Have you driven a truck with the KO2s? My buddy let me drive his Tacoma with the same tires I bought and I was happy. |

After hearing how amazing they are now on arfcom, I bought a set. They didn't change. They're still fucking awful. Terrible in the wet, a joke in the snow, and slicks would do better in the mud. The road noise is so bad after they're worn down that it sounds like I'm on groundhawgs. |

Around here at Discount Tier, that's $1424 out the door with the full certificates for replacement.
With no road hazard warranty at all, its $1218 OTD. That's a good deal if it comes with a real road hazard warranty. |

I just quoted a guy for the same tire but bigger size, LT275/55R20
tires and labor, including balancing is $1458 plus sales tax |

Toyo AT3’s have been excellent for me.
PSA—Just know that all tires can be vastly different on same tire, if the load range rating is different. |

When the tires are off for replacement, it saves a BUNCH of $ on labor/mounting/balancing to replace them. Ask me how I know. |

I replaced BFG KO2s LTs with MT Baja Boss SLs...much happier.
I'm surprised KO2s are still around; I thought they had been superceded by KO3s. What vehicle? |

This. I liked my Toyo AT2s so much on my truck I bought the AT3s for my Jeep. I have owned lots of rigs and they are the best multi-purpose tire I have ever owned. I have never owned KO2s so I'm not crapping on them. |
