I'm not sure what the purpose the Volquartsen Summit serves. But it's super cool.

Volquartsen Summit 22LR. A great rifle with no real reason to exist.

Nice rifle,  I do't care for the Boyd stock though, there's not enough stock material behind the receiver to use the Kidd rear anchor.

It's one purpose in life is to be suppressed! That action and a Gemtech mist is fire. I went with the 96/22 lever action, but the summit is on the short list for my next suppressed project. Some CCI quiet out of a locked breech is awesome.

A stock with more of a straight angle and an adjustable cheek piece is almost a requirement for one of these.

The Magpul X22 is too angled down and with the tallest cheek piece it was still to short for me.  KRG Bravo is awesome though.

I have one, its a lot of fun to shoot suppressed. Just imagine a more “elegant” bolt action.

Always seemed like a nifty idea. I’ve never seen one in person.

I have a 6” sbr. Fun little plinker! I bought the receiver separate and then added the rest of the bits over time. Initially had some feeding issues, but added another shim to the barrel and works great now.

The concept is great as mentioned when running suppressed, and the fact it is compatible with most aftermarket stuff designed for the 10/22 is its niche. It won’t be as accurate as a traditional bolt gun, ( honestly until you get to high levels of 22 performance that is probably just splitting hairs)

I'll admit I've been looking at one for suppressed use.
