whenever ya'll head up that way just let me know in here and i will try to make it out. Always looking for new people to shoot with. Makes the Creek more fun when ya know others with BRD. And those in the She-Town Charles town area maybe we can get some lunch or something some time. Ruby Tues. is about the only place in town though. heh. I'm free thursday if anyone is down.

We were there from about 2:45pm til 4:30 I think. I was the only one there with a 45 from what I noticed. Most others were playing with wheel guns. |

I live in Charles Town, Jefferson County.
I just purchased my 1st AR 2 weeks ago. New RRA entry tactical. I usualy go to The Cove in Gore VA to go shooting. Anyone else shoot there? This seems to be a great site with a wealth of knowledge. I have already built myself a sling from the post found on here. Dusty |

Hello, Raleigh County here ( Beckley Area)
Charleston area (between Cross Lanes and Poca, to be exact).
Not living there now -- I'm suffering through law school at the moment, but I'll be heading home just as soon as I graduate. I did most of my shooting at the Eleanor range before I had to move away, although I used to go to the Kanawha State Forest range occasionally. Still, I tried to avoid it due to the number of fools there. Eleanor is by far the better range. |

Fairmont here
Grew up in Buckhannon and currently working down in Logan. I've been all over this state! Several years in Martinsburg, Several in Hardy County, Charleston........ I hate the fact that they rolled us up with Virginia! That's BS, I'm a proud WV MOUNTAINEER and WE ARE A STATE! |

Same here- grew up in Montgomery, Charleston, college in Morgantown and Huntington, worked in Harrison Co and Phillippi, then worked in Wyoming County and Summers Co, now in Bluefield after 20 years in Florida. BTW it is cold up here. :) |

I got my undergrad degree from Marshall. I miss Huntington because of the cheap rent. |

Putnam County Hurricane...been gone since 96 still come back few times a year to visit
When I worked in Nitro I would get stopped on the top of that bridge everyday during 5 o'clock traffic. That sucker would bounce your car up and down and sway back and forth. I had a girlfriend that would almost have a panic attack sitting up there. |
Lewis County ...
I go out of my way to avoid that bridge. It's held up remarkably well over the years, but the older it gets, the less I trust it. I hear they're going to replace it, but it's hard to tell how long that will take because the area around it is so built-up. |

Im the only one ever at sleepy creek with a black rifle and an ak I wish the other shooters there would stop giving me the evil eye its a shooting range not a "come sight your 30.06 in 2 weeks before hunting season range"
The message you've just read may have been pure BS and it's sole purpose mainly for post-whore count.
I never go there anymore because i wont go alone. I don't trust most of the toothless hillbilly's that go there. Hell if all the local members that shoot at sleepy creek want to get together and go up. That should show em. I have tried to get people to go. But never have any takers. So its the Dark dungeon of Sparks for me and my solo ass.
Quite a few of us used to shoot ay Sleepy Creek often, then the B.S. rule of the no High cap mags and such came out and we stayed away.
I like the place myself. Anyone back home have a Strip job we could shoot on with permission? I have a few folks here in Virginia looking for some long distance. |
Hold me Grog and watch this!

Canaan Valley, Tucker Co.
hey Supak, i remember that name, i graduated in '02 same field o' study |
I shoot anyway. I just don't go crazy and start blasting like a mad man. Most people are ok with it.
Perhaps it is time for a Mountaineer get together, I have a .338 Lapua that needs breaking in. |
Hold me Grog and watch this!
That would be fun. Whole bunch of WV AR15.comers show up the sleepy creek and take over all the tables. lol.. those poor old men up there would think a war just broke out.
No but serious that would be fun. I want to get a .338. what kind did you get and where from? |
Armalite AR30, Virginia arms did the transfer from the factory. When the Remington MP in .338 Lapua hits I have one on reserve from Virginia Arms as well. |

That's only because the Chelyan Bridge was replaced. I grew up in Pratt in the upper Kanawha valley. Just a few miles from Montgomery. Went to East Bank HS and WV Tech. Moved to Fla in the late 80's when there was no work. Moved to Columbia SC and married my wife who is from the Beckley area. I get back up a few times a year. I miss it, but not the snow... |
