Wish it were a little closer to the StL area... the drive would make for a long day.

My son is running a program at Scout camp this Summer and it has a good bit of focus on blacksmithing.

He was going to go to the BAM conference but he had a mandatory training meeting Saturday and Sunday.

He asked a mentor to put the word out at the conference that he could use some material assistance with some tools and supplies.

We are waiting to hear if that will bear any fruit, but it's a good group so expectations are optimistic.

There's a Missouri Hometown Forum guy whose father is heavily involved in the BAM group. He (the son) is a CCW instructor and FFL. At least I think he's still active on ARFcom. I won't name names but he knows who he is.
