Does anybody have any knowledge about the Steven 86C?  It's a friends rifle that he inherited, and I'm trying to help him troubleshoot.  It's a tube-fed bolt action .22.  Bolt cycles fine, and the striker goes back.  But when the bolt is closed, the striker moves forward again.  Can't get it to stay in the cocked position.

Any suggestions?

Also a complete disassembly and look for worn / damaged sear engagement as well as broken or missing spring/s
