It may be that I aquire another Colt .308 AR (M7, CM762-16A) since the latest scuttlebutt about another production run likely in a few months.
The anticipation got me to thinking about the gas system. We don't know any specifics on anything yet, but have read the new release will not have an adjustable gas block.
Also, reading the M7 description list, it features a 6-position receiver extension. This makes me wonder about the gas length & recoil buffer system too.
Who has tuned their LE901 CM762 gas? What is availble as far as reduced diameter gas tubes. Currently I'm using an SiCo Hybrid .46 with a 7.62 end cap & this is picky with ammo. Anyway, too early but wanted to get out front and set-up one for dedicated suppression. If possible, I'd prefer not removing the barrel.
Your knowledge/ experience is appreciated, thanks.
Eta: the current CM762-16S likely has a Armalite AR10 Carbine length gas tube.
